Sovereign Tower

Play as the Sovereign of a magical tower in this story-rich, Round Table management RPG. Recruit eccentric Knights, assign quests and balance egos whilst carving out your kingdom's destiny. If destiny doesn’t go your way, keep turning back time, uncover secrets and rewrite fate again and again.

Ah, finally – a suitable Sovereign for the job. Yes, you, right there, come sit on this comfy throne. Ah, you like the feel of that, don’t you? Congratulations, you’re hired! My name is Arlin and I’m your advisor. Welcome to your first day, and please allow me to provide thee with a day in the life of a Sovereign so you can decide how you will rule, my liege…
- In the morning you must tend to your subjects and listen to the problems that plague the Kingdom. From gardening to exorcisms – there’s never a boring day on the throne.
- Each decision you make will shape your kingdom and relationships with individuals, collectives and other rulers. Every interaction will play a part in defining your legacy.
- Balance your affinity with the Merchants, Mystics, Scholars, Nobles, the People, and the Treasury – or spend it all and backstab everyone.
- Recruit eccentric Knights with strong personalities and questionable morals to serve at your Round Table. Unfortunately for you, these are the jesters you’re relying on to keep your Kingdom running smoothly.
- With great egos, comes great drama! These Knights aren’t going to be a walk in the Tower’s Garden, sire. There’s always advice to be taken, grievances to be shared and romance to be explored.
- You must keep your Knights satisfied otherwise they may just leave your court for good. Maybe that’s sometimes for the best though...
- Manage your Knights from the Round Table. Here you can view all the requests from your subjects that you obliged to earlier in the day. Assign the most equipped Knight for the job to reduce chances of failure.
- Your Knights possess stats: Strength, Agility, Charisma, Magic and Wit. Each Quest requires a different skill set. Need a Charismatic approach? Maybe we shouldn’t send Ursula, your grace.
- After they return from their Quests, you’ll be debriefed with the results of their venture. Did their efforts result in Critical Failure or Critical Success? Or did they experience a completely Unexpected Outcome?
- Prove your worthiness against opposers by joining hands with neighbouring counties and forging great alliances.
- Expand your Tower by adding new Annexes which in turn will allow for more positions to open amongst your court.
- From the Blacksmith's Forge to the Witch’s Alchemy Room, each of these new Annexes gives you the ability to craft new items to assist your Knights on their Quests.
- In the Crypts of the Tower dwells a Demon who can turn back time. So, if it all goes wrong, you can go back with all the knowledge you’ve learned, make alternate decisions and change fate.
- Of course, you have me, your main advisor at your service, but there are others. For example, The Intendant has a nosy habit of collecting secrets about your Knights. She’ll provide the juicy gossip as you require it it!
- If you like romancing stone statues, then you’ve come to the right place. No, really, go speak to the Lady of the Tower and find out.

This demo was FUN
Sovereign Tower scratches my CK3 itch and slaps a balm on it with beautiful visual design and quirked up character dialogue. Mechanics-wise I was able to pick it up ok, some through trial and error.
Gwendan told me not to tarnish his shine the next time I send him out, I told him I would do no such thing. Next mission I sent Gwendan out on he died. The armor loss got him, it was a two knight mission, he had 3 armor and Angelica had full. I ran on the assumption damage would be divvied up.
1) So funny to have the character event and gameplay lined up to write itself a tragicomedy. 2) So sad :( to spend the last 2 cycles without gwendipoo around...snfl
Not entirely sure if bug or just constraints of what's available to the demo; after day 5 there were no longer any new rumors I could check each day.
My last thought and most important one is Ursula is my Knight. This game looks fantastic i love the characters the menus and the romancable options. However i have encountered a couple of problems, most of them probably due to my stupidity, I had some problems understanding some mechanics and especially understanding what missions where better for what knights and sometimes it felt a bit frustrating ligning up the stats to match the mission just for it to fail and sometimes oneshot my knights, maybe i needed a more comprehensive tutorial.I also encountered a bug where the game would freeze on a character dialogue and i cuoldnt make it progress,i could only open the other menus like the map,it was easily fixed by quitting so it wasnt a big deal. The las problem i had is more a cry for help, i couldnt understand where to find the option to rewind time i looked online but i couldnt find any real explanation im probably missing something very obvious.Like i said besides this little issue i found this demo to be really promising i cant wait to buy it on steam.(im sorry if i made some mistakes english isnt my first language)
Thank you for the feedback! We'll be investigating your bug!
As for the rest, the game currently doesn't have tutorialisation and we're planning on improving this aspect of the game in the future! The demon menu which allows for time travel isn't going to be available right away and will instead be added on later versions of the demo over on steam!
thank you for playing! hope you'll continue to follow the project!
Ok thanks for the response.
this game looks so good that is crazy, i dont mean only the art of Goberto i mean everything, really hoping to play the full release
Thank you so much for the kind words :) we can't wait for the release too
Is there a possibility this can be ported to Mac? Would love to buy and play this game when it gets released.
Hi! For now we're focusing on the Steam release this August but we're open to exploring a mac version afterwards!
Ty for playing :)
Hello! I’m a player from Thailand, so this English text is translated with the help of GPT. I want to say that this game is really fun. I absolutely love the art style, it’s incredibly unique! And the most important part is the gameplay. It’s about kingdom management, talking with characters, building relationships, and many other amazing things that make the game so great. I admit that I didn’t finish the game because I played it on a computer in my classroom XD But even with just 30 minutes of gameplay, I became seriously hooked on this game. I’m wondering if there are any plans to release this game outside of Steam Especially for Android users like me TwT I don’t have a computer. If possible, I would really love for you to release this game on Android mobile as well! That would be amazing. No matter the price, I’m willing to buy it! But if it’s not possible due to some issues, that’s totally fine too. I can still buy it through Steam on mobile I’ll consider it as supporting you!
Hi! Thank you very much for taking the time to play! (At a time when you weren't supposed to!)
Its to early to say for sure at the moment whether there will be a mobile version, although it's definitely a game that would lend itself well to that :)
hope you'll find the time to finish the demo!
Hello! I just finished the demo and it was so much fun! Now I can’t wait for the full release.
Just like with Crown Gambit(my first deck builder), I’ve never played a strategy-management game like this before. The first few cycles are easy enough to start understanding the mechanics but at the same time interesting.
My main feedback is that it’s a bit hard to understand how the game calculates “failure” and “success.” The indicator can go up, but then suddenly drop because of “incompetence.” I assume this happens because a quest didn’t fit a knight's personality? Also, stats like “Wisdom” or “Kindness” feel a bit vague right now, but since it’s just the first demo, it’s not a big deal.
Thank you for the game! It’s beautiful and very fun to play
Hi, thank you for taking the time to play!
Good guess, the red 'incompatibility' bar is indeed related to the mismatch between the knight's personality and the quest. This system is intended to be much more transparent and understandable in future - we're working on it!
I've encountered a bug where I am not able to click through the dialogue of any additional rooms (forge, intendancy) except sometimes the map room. Nothing happens when I click to continue, and the skip/ffw buttons don't work either. I can still click the stat, map, and log buttons though. This is happening in both the browser version (playing on Google Chrome) and the downloaded version (playing on Windows 11). I'm unfortunately not able to progress very far in the game without being able to use the forge to repair the knights' armor.
Hello, and sorry for the inconvenience.
I'll have a few questions si that I can try to reproduce the issue on my side and fix it:
- If I understand things correctly, juste to be sure, you're locked on the introduction dialogues of the rooms, so you're stucked on dialogue mode and cannot process to the moment the options are displayed?
- Did you have the same issue during other dialogues? (Audiences, affinity dialogues, etc.)
And thank you for taking the time to report this issue :)
Yes, that's the correct place I was locked at, and I did not have issue with any of the other dialogues.
However, I went to play the game again to make sure the place you mentioned was the one I got stuck at, and I am seemingly no longer encountering the issue 🤔 I'm not sure if you guys have updated the game since or if something previously just went wrong on my end, but I'm glad it's working for me now!
Oh nice, glad you managed to play the demo in the end!
We have't made an update yet, but I think I've found the bug you encountered - a bit difficult to reproduce but it should be fix soon :)
(Basically, if a text is skipped too fast in some situation it could create a softlock where the game doesn't allow you to go to the next line)
Love the demo; I love interacting with the knights on a personal level and it hurts when you lose them on a quest! Would there be anyway to allow the witch tower upgrade include resurrection; or allow more armor repairs with increasing gold cost for additional repairs beyond the first?
Can wait to see the game develop further!
There will be options to improve the forge! You'll be able to repair more than once a day!
SO HYPED!! I NEED MORE OF THIS GAME!!!
Do you have an ETA for any sort of more content? Or anything like that?
PS I feel like Goberto is an extremely weak knight with an extremely big personality. Not many quests require a large amount of STR, I went my whole second playthrough without sending him on a single quest up until the end. Especially because he doesn't want to go on the werewolf quest (which is weird, you'd think he'd love that sort of thing based on his bio).
Currently planned for August! There'll be new denser demos as well before then!
Goberto is a particular piece. In the finished game, you might want to let him go or try to keep him alive at all costs...
Both options have their ups and downs....
So keen! Goberto my fav character so its a shame seeing how uncapable he is... but your reply makes me excited for his future!!!
Absolutely amazing game!
me and my friends like to do readthroughs of games doing voices and joking around and for most of my playthrough I was thinking how fun the full release will be to read through.
Believe it or not you have yet to see the funniest dialogues to read through!
Ursula and I have a whole yuri thing going on now and I can't wait for the full game, the demo itself is so damn fun and I'll probably play it again just to scratch this itch. Thank you for this masterpiece in the making 🙏
Thank you so much! Hope you enjoy your journey with Ursula in the full game 👉🏼👈🏼
I want more yuri!!!
We have plenty more in stock!!
this is so funnn!! im looking forward to playing the full version when it comes out, the ending was intriguing
Thanks! We hope you'll like the full project once it cames out :D
Dammit, thought this one was fixed (returning to the menu and loading again the roundtable should fix it)
I was able to fix it was by assigning knights and advancing to the next cycle (not ideal, but at least it wasn't permanent)
Absolutely amazing demo! I'm glad to see more work coming out of you guys, and the art is fantastic. The nods to Crown Gambit are fun, and the characters/dialogue here is amusing yet natural. UIs look nice, and for a demo, there's a lot of little flairs (like the character specific dialogue BGs) that really make it pop. Though frustrating, dealing with your knights on a personal level (quest preference/decision reactions) adds a level of complexity I really like. Knight-specific quest results are also interesting.
Issues-wise, other than some confusion on the purpose of the aspects/tags (like "Tyranny"), a few typo/capitalization errors, and a mount description reading "TODO," I found the game to be very well-polished. The demo had A LOT more content than I ever thought to expect, but considering CG's demo, maybe I should've expected something generous. Game looks excellent, really looking forward to a full release!
Thank you! Glad you liked the demo, even though some aspects are still a little rough around the edges. (very eager to have you back for the full release, too!)
Merci beaucoup !! On a hâte aussi d'être en août :-)
I'm losing affinity when sending knights on some missions. The game did tell me that I'll want to line up knight personality with appropriate missions, but I cannot tell how to actually do that. I made sure their skills lined up.
How do I learn what knights are appropriate for what missions?
edit: yeah this is a little frustrating. i'm even looking at their bios to be sure the mission type seems appropriate for them, but sometimes a mission goes from success to failure due to a mismatch that i cannot identify. this needs some tweaking.
Hey there! Thanks for the honnest feedback :)
We are aware that this aspect needs improvements, and it is something that we are working on
Still, we want things to be a bit shady at first on some aspect as we want players to "discover" their knights specificities (with affinity dialogues, for example, or thanks to the intendant rumors) but right now it needs indeed various tweaks and updates to feel good
I hope it didn't prevent you to enjoy the rest of the demo though!
oh not at all! it was a great demo
J'ai hurlée si fort quand (spoiler) Roland est apparu, purée... Incroyable démo, trop hâte de suivre tout ça!!!!
Ahahah content que ça plaise :D
Oooh merci beaucoup mecchi! J'espère que le jeu complet te plaira encore plus!
Is the RU language planned?
We’re currently planning to release the game in August 2026 with a select set of supported languages. As a small team with a limited budget, regrettably we’re unable to support all languages at launch including RU.
That being said, we’re always listening closely to community feedback. If there’s enough interest and the opportunity arises, we’d love to expand language support down the line.
I did laugh a LOT.
Yay :D
Thanks for playing! 😁
Would you ever consider porting this to mac?
Our current plans are for a Steam release for Windows, although we don't have any more information to share on other platforms at the moment, we appreciate the interest! We'll be sure to update the community on any platform updates in future!
